Max Foldeak - Director of Health Services
Max serves as Director of health Services for Marlboro College. He has been involved in the mental health profession for over 30 years starting as a psychiatric aide in a psychiatric hospital where he became interested in group work, particularly working with adolescents combining dream groups and video. Before his present position he worked in outpatient clinics conducting dual diagnosis and domestic abuse programs while continuing as a family, group and individual therapist. Max is an alum of Antioch New England Graduate School where he interned with the Brattleboro Family Institute. He has continued his studies with the Assisi group in Italy and Vermont pursuing an interest in archetypal pattern analysis applied to therapy and systems, especially within the college population. He has been a boat captain and sea kayak guide on the Saguenay Fiord. He is an avid landscape painter and pastel artist.

Nancy Haydock MD - Collaborating Physician
Nancy is a pediatrician (yes—pediatrics goes through college) in Brattleboro who has been consulting at Marlboro for 30+ years (before there was even a Nurse Practitioner). She acts as back up for the medical office as well as providing emergency coverage when the health center is closed. In her spare time, she gardens, hikes and XC skis. Snow and light permitting, she likes to try to ski to work at the college once a year from the Post Office.
Ruth Loomis, APRN - Medical Manager
Ruth has been practicing in primary care and college health for 17 years. Prior to that, she worked as a nurse in emergency medicine for many years. She can diagnose, prescribe, suture, and order tests and x-rays. She offers women’s health, gynecologic services, and STD and PAP tests. In her spare time, she does ballroom dancing, pounds moguls, rides horses, kayaks, swims and hikes. She doesn’t sit still very well!

Gwen Leaf – Counseling Intern
Gwen is currently completing her final year of a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at Antioch University of New England. With a background in education and career counseling, she enjoys supporting students along their personal and academic journeys. Gwen's therapeutic approach focuses on honoring each individual's unique strengths and empowering every client in their own process of cultivating balance. She likes to travel, play outdoors (hiking, rock-climbing, paddling), and practice yoga.
Celena Romo - Office Manager
Celena manages the day-to-day operations of the Total Health Center—from scheduling to bandaids, she's here to help! Celena is a Marlboro graduate, class of 2005, and lifelong Marlboro resident. She and her husband have three daughters, and all love to recreate in the great outdoors.
