Non-Marlboro Programs

Study Abroad through Another Provider  
Every semester, Marlboro students go on accredited programs sponsored by another US institution or organization.  Grades earned through another provider are transferred back to Marlboro.  Past students have gone on programs through the School for International Training (SIT), Carleton (formerly Antioch University)IES or a host of other providers.  

  • Finances: Students pay tuition, room and board directly to the program. Students are eligible for federal financial aid but not for institutional aid.  
  • Procedure: Students will go on "Absentia 2." They should schedule an appointment to come see Maggie and fill out an Absentia 2 application.

Study Abroad at a University Overseas                                                       
Marlboro students have the opportunity to study at an accredited university in another country as an international student. This type of international exeperience can be especially beneficial for students seeking to gain proficiency in a foreign language or to be immersed in a different culture. Grades earned at another university are transferred back to Marlboro.  Past students have attended universities in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Germany and Scandinavia.  

  • Finances:  Students pay tuition, room and board directly to the university overseas.  Students are eligible for federal financial aid but not institutional aid. 
  • Procedure: Students will go on "Absentia 3." They should schedule an appointment to come see Maggie and fill out an Absentia 3 application.
