Academic Interests. I love political science, creative nonfiction writing, French, economics, literature, and photography. I also love hearing about the academic interests of anyone else, especially things I've never thought about.
An Inspiring Class. My favorite class that I have taken at Marlboro was a course Lynette taught last year on International Law. I never thought that reading treaties and researching international intergovernmental organizations could be so fascinating, and now I'm reading the 1986 Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties between States and International Organizations or between International Organizations for fun... oh how times change.
On Marlboro. Basically that it's awesome. I came for the rigorous academics and the ability to study whatever I wanted, and I've stayed because of the awesome teachers and people that go here.
Favorite Campus Place. I love the coffee shop especially at 9 o'clock at night when I'm hungry and wanting to hang out after I've been cooped up in my room studying since dinner.
Community Involvement. My favorite thing I did this year for the community was help my dear friend Alex organize a lemonade party. Unfortunately it was too cold this May to have it outside like we had planned, c'est la vie I suppose. We have big plans to try again in the fall.
Summer Plans. This summer I am living at home in Schwenskville, Pennsylvania and working at a French restaurant where I am practicing my French, or at least a couple words of it.
Advice. Yak-Tracks are super helpful and extra thick tights are a godsend.
I'm really looking forward to meeting all the new students and I really hope you love it here!
