Airport rides thread

Though the College may be loath to admit it, it's true that many of us come from places inconveniently distant from the New England area. This requires that we make expensive and difficult-to-arrange journeys to and from the Hill. These are long, frustrating, and stressful to set up, and it all tends to happen privately and at the last minute. There are a lot of problems with this, but it seems to me that the biggest is the lack of a public forum for finding rides (and other transportation resources) to airports.

Marlboro's great, Retention rates!! (chant it, it's catchy)

Hey Marlboro, I know this won't go anywhere because none of you even know this exists, but here is a new place to have an actual conversation about the retention rate at Marlboro college. Is it low? Is it a problem that it is low? How can it be raised? Do you want it to be raised? Why is everyone leaving, really? (it's not the food) Does a low retention rate make the people who graduate that much cooler? (yes.) These questions and more are yours to ask and answer, squabble and ponder...all you need to do is dream!

Happy Valley Common Room: Monday, March 5, 2012 at 8:00pm (Emma the scribe enter the meeting during a discussion of butt cans) LuLu: I don’t think it’s about butt cans and small things like that. It’s about smoking as a social symbol. Discussion of the fact that the one handicapped entrance is in front of the dining hall… should handicapped people who don’t want to be exposed to smoke have to go all the way around to the back? Gazebos—are they too much of a compromise? Too cold? Emma: I’m willing to compromise
